What is the fastest way to get a credit increase on a new charge account?

I opened a new charge account but the credit limit is not as much as i had hoped it would be for what i need to buy. What is the quickest way to get them to increase my credit limit?

Easy way is to call and ask. Ask for an increase, if they say no, ask what evidence they need to increase it. Sometimes, it is just paying your account on time for 3 to 6 months. Good luck.

making on time payments, sometimes more then the minimum payment being consistent for 6 months approx. then after that I would ask for an increase if they didn't already do it.
