What is the fastest way to get nightcrawlers

me and my bud are starting something like a "worm sale" just to make some cash. we would like to know how to get night crawlers throughout the day and night. when i tried the technique where u put water on the dirt and come out at night it didnt work for me... they had already come and gone. so a way of getting them fast would be great.

Maybe wait til it rains, I remember looking for worms when I was a kid and the grass was damp at night after raining. Who knows though, that was like 10 years ago and I'd never touch a worm now, haha sorry.

get a 6 volt lantern battery some wire and two screwdrivers.  cut two pieces of wire about a foot long and connect them to the shaft of the screwdrivers.  Make sure that the insulating material on the handles of the screwdrivers is good and that you aren't standing in a puddle.  Connect one wire to the positive anode and the other to the negative.  push the screwdrivers into the ground about a foot and a half apart and if there are any worms in the ground in that spot they will come right out.

lift up rocks logs and other things on the ground in shaded places they will hide.

in the future put down cardboard they love paper and will eat it

and will hide under it if it is moist (not soaked)

along rivers and lakes and ponds lift rocks

but watch out for snakes

worm buckets are good 2 , just keep in a cool shaded area lightly water and make sure the bucket will drain with some small holes

then feed them paper

thats why birds flip leaves , but you will have better luck flipping
