The TAMIL NADU Express -- the fastest Non-Rajdhani train -- and Pride of Tamil Nadu  -- runs from Chennai to New Delhi via Bhopal.

Tamil Nadu Express is a limited-halt train with twin diesel engines. At first it was a tri-weekly train, but today it operates daily. It offers a wide range of accommodation such as first class A/C, 2 tier A/C, 3 tier A/C, sleeper cars and second class unreserved. There is a pantry car too.

Train number 2621: Chennai to New Delhi, leaves Chennai at 22:00 hrs.

Train number 2622: New Delhi to Chennai, leaves New Delhi at 22:30 hrs.

Suggestions already given are excellent, but I wished to add there is a direct train to Indore from Chennai. Probably it is biweekly and I don't know the day/ time of dep-arr, but it will save you much road journey (280 Km from Bhopal ). From Indore, you will get buses/ taxis for Dhar that may take only one hour & half (55 KM). This will make it easier.
