A friend of mine needs to mail some documents to Australia from Paris as quickly as possible. Does anyone know the fastest method to do this? I don't know what the fastest service would be, as I am unfamiliar with the postal and courier services available in Paris. I would imagine there is a courier service that would be able to do this the fastest, but I don't know of any specifically. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Just guessing, but I think you'd find well-known (at least in the US) companies like FedEx and DHL that could overnight the documents and provide services like a tracking number that would allow your friend to make sure the shipment arrives on time.

  2. Any of the regular courrier services operate from Paris... I believe FedEx might be the best of those, as they have a walk in office on 63 bd Haussmann in the 8th.

If not, you can have your friend use the Chronopost offered by the French Post office.

Bewarned, sending things to Australia in this manner is really pricey.

  3. Among courier companies, I would guess DHL is the best bet.  It's a German company so you're pretty close to the center of their operations.

Another option is to contact an airline that flies from France to Australia (Air France?, Qantas?) and ask about counter-to-counter service.  That's where you drop off an item at  the airport counter, the item flies with the baggage, and someone at the other end picks it up at the airline counter.

    Bonne chance !
