  1. Most of the Office tests I've seen focus largely on knowing multiple ways to do the same things, e.g. Edit > Paste, Right Click > Paste, and ctrl+V to paste whatever is in the clipboard. Learning keyboard shortcuts should make a big difference: http://www.google.com/search?q=office+ke...

  2. Try youtube, there's some good tutorial videos on there. There are a lot of free text ones online but I like listening to somebody.

  3. You have asked a great question, one I asked myself 3 years ago.

First I went to google and typed in    MS Word+free tutorials

( I got quite a few and used them all)

Then I went to Sam's and bought a manual    "MS Word 2000". Of course it was out of date but it only cost $5.   Bleieve it or not 90% of all you need to know was in the 2002 bersion and only a few new things appeared with the newer versions.

The secret is the various MS toobars.   Each one has a list of things it controls.

For example go to youur menus bar(second from top). Hit the help button in Word. Then hit the "assistant" button. You can type in thousands of questions to the assistan and she will report back with an answer.

Then go to "view" and edit".  Press "auto" feayre. Then see how many different things you can do with that toolbar.

I still say a manual is worth the money.

With it I now write books that look very professional with drop caps, subscript, all that fancy stuff.

    Hope this helps.  Good luck.
