South of France is also pretty good, especially the area near brittany. nice climate now, good walks and good beaches as well. of course Spain is the all time favourite among most Brits !

Anywhere with some sun and decent temperatures, we like to get away from the rain.

Spain for some reason. There are some great holiday destinations with in Britain though.

The UK.

There are still more people taking a holiday in their own country than elsewhere in the world.

Why?

Cheaper in travel cost, known food, no language problems, (but if traveling to the far end of the country they will not understand the locals anymore.)

And as a foreigner having been in the country, I have to admit they are right, the UK is a perfect holiday destination.

Many great villages, towns and cities, national parks, coast, and of course, people worth to meet.
