  8. Depends on what mood I'm in...

Some days it's Japanese from the Japan Centre in Piccadilly

Other days it's Indian from Muskaan, the very best (and best priced) Indian restaurant in the city - located in Stratford

There's a great Mexican restaurant just around the corner from Covent Garden tube station

For a lovely afternoon tea, no one beats St. Martin's in the Field in Trafalgar square

  9. Indian

  10. Strangely, it was announced a few years back that the favourite non-national dish in the UK was officially 'curry' - but of course there are many kinds of curry. One of the top favourites for many turned out to be chicken tikka marsala - and here's the amazing thing, this is a dish that never existed in India or Pakistan, it was made up to suit the British taste - and wasn't that a success then?

Another favourite these days are the Thai curries - like green or red Thai curried chicken.

On a quick check, there are over 5000 Indian restaurants in the UK.
