let´s say,michael phelps won 8 medals.what is the fee for winning an olympic medal in U.S.A.?in my country it makes about 600 000 slovak crowns....

  1. Other than the medal they win, athletes are not paid anything directly, if they receive any money at all, it is payed as a "reward" by their own country or the sporting body of that country.


  2. You have to PAY to win medals?!  I would just suck on purpose then!

    in the USA it's 25,000 for winning a gold medal. Michael Phelps got an extra 1,000,000 for beating spitz's record with 8 golds.

    I don't think there's a "fee"
