  1. i've heard of girl juniors,

    especially in the mexican community

  2. none, i think that the child would just have the mother's name or somehting...?

  3. Junior comes from the Latin meaning "younger."

    Junior (as a suffix) (usually "Jr"), In English language can be used for both male and female;

    In Latin language for the female was  used "Juniora" and "Junior"for the male

    Then we could say:

    Mr. A. Smith jr.

    Mrs.J.Smith  jra.

  4. There is no official suffix to a woman's name you holds that name in common with her mother. The reason for that historically is the fact that most (not all) women change their last names when the marry. If your mother's name was Martha, you would be little Martha or Marty or some other variation of the name until you married. Nowadays women are appending Junior onto their own names when the intend to keep their original patronomic.

  5. There isn't one.  Social habits change slowly. The thinking is that "Mortimer Periwinkle III" will bear that name all his life. "Melinda McCorkle II" will only be that until age 18, when she marries Mortimer, at which point she becomes Melinda Periwinkle, or, even worse, Mrs. Mortimer Periwinkle III.

    Up until the 1970's, almost every woman but Dale Evans, wife to Roy Rogers, changed her name upon marriage. Many still do, even though 24 is closer to the average marriage age than 18, today. The Jr/Sr and numbers helped distinguish between men. With women, you just had to say "Melinda, Mortimer Periwinkle's wife" and people knew who you meant.

  6. There is not one. Sometimes  her middle name is her moms maiden name  or she is just named after her mom.
