I got pulled over on Main St., in downtown Ventura, and even though I had my seat-belt on and hooked, the motor-cycle cop wrote me up for failure to wear properly. I had put it under my arm and across my chest instead of on top of my left shoulder, as it always cuts into my neck & is very irritating. Just curious if anyone knows what this ticket is going to cost me ?

  1. Police departments throughout Ventura County will be actively enforcing a seat belt law that requires all vehicle occupants to buckle up.

The enforcement comes as part of California's 2008 "Click It or Ticket" campaign taking place May 12 through June 1.

State law requires everyone in a vehicle to wear a seat belt at all times. Tickets for first-time violators range from $80 to $91 for adults, and $330 to $401 for occupants under 16.

  2. 90.00 first offense
