  1. That depends if it is a clock-wise or counter clock-wise engine.


  2. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.  There are several different points, gaps depending on OMC-Merc-etc and distributor.  Try a gap of .025 and dwell of 31 to 34 degrees for a Delco Dist. but that's just a good starting point.  I've never see a counter clockwise 4 cly.  even Chris Craft didn't use that on twin 4 cylinders.  I guess there could be such a thing but,,,,I've seen a lot of engines...
