Question:

What is the flange standard that is normally used? PN16, ASTM A53, A106, what are the difference?

I am confused! Somebody please help? Dimension for standard flanges only reach up to 24". What about for flanges for 40"? Have to use other standard like PN standard?

  1. *For any pipe or pipe fitting have two standards:

    Material standard.

    Dimensional standard.

    *ASTM A 106 ,ASTM A53 is a Material standard.

    *PN 16 is a pressure rating of the flange and dimensions of the flange will vary according to pressure rating of the flange.

    Standard for PN16 :

    BS EN 1092-1 PN16
