  1. Yes, James is right.  The formula I remeber from cave man days was:

    phi = integral B.dA...but if the flux is perpendiclar to the area it simply becomes phi = BA or for you problem B=phi/A =30webers/2 in^2 = 15 webers/ in^2

    since 1 square meter = 1 550.0031 square inch

    B in mks units = 15/1550 =0.009677 webers/meter^2


  2. im a lil rusty, but i think to work out magnetic flux density you simply take your flux amount over your area; in your case 30Wb over 2in squared. in these sort of calculations always make sure you use correct units throughout the question.
