What is the format for writing a self-addressed stamped envelope?

Do you put another stamped envelope in your real letter, or what? How do you make one?

You got it- put another stamped envelope addressed to you (your address goes in the middle of the envelope) in with your real letter. The person receiving your letter then just needs to put their letter to you in the stamped and addressed envelope you sent, seal it, and put it in their mailbox!

You stamp an envelope and put it within your larger envelope that also holds your letter. In the To: you put your name/address and the From: you also put your name/address..this way it will return to you even if the postage turns out to be insufficient.

The person who receives the larger envelope will open it, read the letter and have the smaller already stamped envelope inside to mail back to you.
