  1. There's no formula for laptime, just press the button at the same point each lap to get the time.

    For speed, measure a stretch long enough, say 400 meters, start the watch as the car passes the start and stop it at the end.

    Divide the meters by the seconds and you get meters per second.

    Multiply that with 3,6 and get km/hour

    Divide that if you wish by 1,61 (1,609 to be exact) and you get miles per hour.

    Thats the average speed, the car supposedly had hit it's top speed prior to entering the measuring zone or kept a constant speed throughout because one may want to measure speed and compare that to the rpm gauge to see what sort of rpm gives what sort of speed for given gear and take it from there.
