  1. Frequency range in all good DVD players extends well below the human hearing range.

    Subwoofer out terminal usually has an upper range of around 200 Hz / 180 Hz / 160 Hz etc... Various models have various upper ranges. This upper range can usually be adjusted. I prefer to keep it at around 80 Hz since below this frequency, source of the sound can not be pointed out. The lower range is usually not restricted by any crossover and is governed by the lowest frequency of the input.
