  1. all of the boat motors I have its been 50 to 1 which is about 2 1/2 ounces per gallon. Now on new motors they tell you to use 25 to 1 for the first  hundred miles or so.

If your not sure then use 25 to 1. The motor will run alright but it may be a little smokey and maybe you can clean the plugs a little more often.

Heres a simple way that I do it. I have those little cups they hang on the bathroom wall in a dispenser. Each cup is 3 ounces. So I take one of them and for each gallon I put in the red tank I pour one cupfull.  5  gallon tank I put in 5 cups. simple.

  2. The correct mixture is 50 to 1. Make sure that you use a 2 cycle oil with a "TCW 3" rating.  Don't use any chain saw or other 2 cycle oils.
