HDFC- Housing Development Finance Corporation

ICICI Bank and HDFC bank were started as wholly owned subsidiaries of ICICI and HDFC respectively in 1994. In 2002, ICICI and ICICI Bank were merged as ICICI Bank. Now there are ICICI Bank, HDFC, and HDFC Bank.

ICICI:Earlier it was "Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India".

Now it is has no full form and it is simply ICICI Bank as a private entity and a private bank.

ICICI : does not have any full form. ICICI is it self its name. Earlier it had full form when it was a Govt. body to finance industries. Same goes with HDFC
