  1. IPC is divided using ATA 100 chapters. It illustrate the parts by figure, item number, part numbers and most important of all aircraft applicability ie. a/c msn. Ipc also shows parts intechangeability and vendor code.

  2. ipc is a cataloge..generally like u purchase a refrigerator or other substance of a company u are able to see the catalogue so tht u can see the product and read the features..

ipc is also like tht and its given by every manufacturer to each comapny for ordering the product because the product u have to order u know how it look and what is the use but for the company u need the part number which is given in the ipc

  3. To answer your questrion abut the Illustrated Parts Catalog.  This catalog presents component breakdowns of structure and equipment in disassembly sequence.  Also included are exploded views or cutaway illustrations for all parts and equipment manufactured by the aircraft manufacturer.  Reference AC 65-9A Chapter 1.

Additionally, manufacturer's parts lists, illustrated parts catalogs, and similar documents, while useful, are not approved and do not provide data acceptable to the Administrator unless they are an integral part of a maintenance manual and are not just listed as a reference.

I have written about them in my aviation book called Handbook of Aeronautical Inspection and Pre-Purchase, which can be found at: http://www.stacheair.com/ or http://trafford.com/04-2873

I do not think you will find a web address that explains it, but you can find AC 65-9A on the FAA web site for free at: http://rgl.faa.gov/REGULATORY_AND_GUIDAN...

  4. To show various sub-assemblies and their relationship to the entire aircraft. Most manufacturers have one. Maintaince manuals usually break down into various sections. You need to locate a technical library at a maintaince school. Most on-line sites by manufacturers have a fee....
