  1. The rear axle gear ratio could be a number of different ones....2.73, 3.08, 3.42, 3.55, 3.73, 3.90.

    Best to pull the cover off and count the teeth of the ring and pinion gears...divide them out to find the ratio. There are other ways to find out without pulling the cover like checking for a axle code tag..usually, a small metal tag attached to one of the cover bolts with codes to identify the axle ratio. The front side of the right axle tube should also have some codes stamped in it to identify the axle but you'll have to decode them. Easiest way is to jack up the rear end, place the car in neutral and mark the driveshaft and one tire...rotate the tire one full revolution and see how many times the driveshaft turns will give you a close approximation of the gear ratio...3 turns is about a 3.08...3 and a half turns is a 3.55, etc...
