  1. This question really shows perceptions about GW are more based on politics than science.  The scientist that work with this issue have reach a consensus that human activity is a major factor contributing to climate change.  GW is more an issue for the policy makers than scientists now.  It is political.  But the republican leadership is now convinced of the potential problem.  The discussion needs to shift to what we can do that won't make economic conditions worse and do them quickly.  We need to set-up thresholds, where if a policy is not working we can implement something else, or if the economic burden (or benefit) is not fairly distributed, it can be shared more evenly.

    I'm in Oklahoma.

  2. On hot days they believe it, on cold days they don't.

  3. Whoever is elected in November should get five top scientists from both sides of the climate change issue in front of them in the Oval Office and let them argue it out. The press should not be involved, and the politics left out.

We should be skeptical about "scientists" who predict climate future based on computer models. People are trying to play God by saying, 'Oh, this computer model told me 50 years from now that this IS going to happen.' That's an arguable point. and I think we should question it. But to say that someone has absolute knowledge of the future seems to me to be playing something more than a mortal.

There is a difference between thinking something is going to happen and deducing something is going to happen. But saying, 'No, I know it; the debate is over' is just plain stupid to say you know something's going to happen 50 years from now

  4. Global warming only occurs in blue states.

  5. I think it is accepted but they just do not support it as much

  6. The red states have liberals too.
