What is the general home insurance rate and annual tax on a home in Virginia?

Thinking about buying, but need to count up all of the costs.

  1. Sorry, you're wrong.  $150k is the "worth" of the home, but that has NO BEARING on what you need to insure it for.  That would be, the cost to rebuild.  Plus, you'll need a flood insurance policy.

    Best thing to do, is when you're shopping for houses, you need to ask the current owner how much their taxes and insurance are.  No one here will have a CLUE.
