  1. 20%, if you don't want to go thirsty.

  3. I agree with 20% but if you're paying for only a couple of drinks, a least a buck a drink.

  5. If you eat at the bar or in the bar and the bartender is also your waitress than no less than 20% if the service was good.

    Now if your just sitting at the bar drinking I would say 15%.

  7. There are no rules, if he is a good barman tip him what you feel is fair 15 to 20 %.  But 20% being a rule is ridiculous, the only people who believe that are bartenders.

    Anything less than that, should be reflected by the amount, with 10% being the lowest for "okay".

    If it's really bad service, none.

  9. 20% at least on a tab.  At least a dollar for an individual drink.
