  1. The goal is to accumulate as much money and property as possible, more than any other player, to prevent other players from accumulating money and property, and so to win the game.

    This means you need to bankrupt the other players.  This is usually done when a player owes you so much rent that they can not possibly afford to pay you, even if they sell all their houses and mortgage all their properties.

  10. Well, It depends on the way you play.  The traditional method is to go around the board, buying and building on properties.  Eventually someone will be the only person with money, that player wins.

    But there are time variations as well.
