  1. 10cents a ton

  2. As of today - $3.84/lb - see source

Best to call the recycler where you are going to sell and they will give you a price over the phone.

Copper scrap metal prices vary on a daily basis and also depends on the type of copper scrap (wire, prepared, etc.)

  3. The  commodity  price  is  about  $3.75  a  pound ,

But  that  is  clean ,  Not  insulated .

Call  your  local recyclers  for  their  rates .

Many  have  2  rates ,   1  for  wire  with  insulation and  another

price  for  stuff  like  pipe  with  nothing  on  it .

  4. I am not sure but it must be high because, in the city where my grandmother lives,  all the transformers in her neighborhood were completely stripped.  The grocery store where my mom shops was hit.  Some idiot stole all of the copper out of the cooling units that run the refrigerated and frozen foods section.  I know that you must be totally pissed about your wiring.  That also happened to my cousin the same day the wiring was finished.  She was lucky they hadn't put the drywall in yet.  It is just crazy to see what lengths those idiots will go to to steal all that copper.  People are seeing the piping ripped out of their houses as well as the wiring.  Air units are being stolen.  It is just ridiculous.  I understand that times are hard but resorting to stealing like some have is unexcusable.

  5. I dunno, but hoodlums all around the city are stealing it like theres no tommorow, so it must be high!!!
