  1. Probably very little to none.  The contacts are probably made of nickel or brass.  Sorry.

    Most of the contacts are nickel, maybe brass possibly chromium plated.

    This is why they would go bad. Oxidation. And why you used to have to buy TV Tuner cleaner to spray in them.

    I don't think you'll find any gold in most old clunky-clunk  boob tube TVs

  3. If you have a couple of thousand tons of tuner units of the rotary type then you may ( with the correct type of furnace ) be able to extract a couple of grams gold ! nearly enough to plate a pen nib !!!

    A much better bet is to extract the platinum from old relay contacts !!!
