What is the goo in a kitten's eyes?

my kitten has goo in his eyes again. he's about 8-9 months old now. had it a lot when he was very young, then it cleared up, now it's back.

he's had his shots, etc.

  1. He probably has a eye cold. Usually when they have gunk in their eyes they have other illnesses too. He may need antibiotics to get rid of the illness.  


  2. It's probably conjunctivitis. Your cat needs to see a vet.

  3. You should most definatly take him to the vet, because my cat had green goo coming from her eyes and we took her to the vet and found out she had an eye ulcer, and it costed us over $500 to fix it

Your cat has an eye infection one thing that will help before taking it to a vet is try this product:Terramycin® Eye Ointment with Polymyxin B you can purchase it here: http://www.jefferspet.com/ssc/product.as... or purchase it from a farm supply store. Put a small dab of this medication in the corner of each eye twice a day and the problem should go away. The problem should go away in a few days but if not or signs of sneezing and mucus discharge from the nose you should get the cat to a vet right away.
