What is the good and bad points of a trihull boat. i'm thinking of buying one. Some say that there no good.

Some say that a deep V is better. I founf a mint condition trihull that i like and the size is what i'm looking for.I like to know if there is real safety prolbem here. Thanks Don

Hi,

GOOD:

They are more stable then a V hull, they plane easily, they are not a bad choice for a "all around" hull

BAD:

They pound you in a chop, they draw more water then a flat hull, they dont excell "all around"

Like any vessel if you do not exceed the conditions they were desigined for there is no reason they should be "unsafe"
