  1. that depends on where you are in the equation. if you are a rich oil tycoon, it is very good. if you are a regular joe, it can be good if you have enough money saved and buy a electric car or find alternative transportation. But if you are the average guy just getting by, it will be the proverbial last straw that breaks the camels back. on the whole,it will wake people up to a economic system that was never created with the peoples best interests in mind anyway. people will look for other ways to survive, and that will make the average person hardier (which is a good thing) but will create crime like you have never seen before. maybe the system will be designed around people instead of money (a very good thing), after the terrible hard times that are definitely ahead of us.

  2. It will motivate us to look for greener, renewable energy sources.

If I was an oil exec it would be good for me.

  3. not a thing other than crippling our economy by making prices on everything else in life increase.

Many have said that at present there is not a fuel shortage, the run on the price is mere speculation by futures traders over the expected increase in demand by developing countries like China and India.

Don't believe me? Watch the trucking industry crumble when diesel hits $6.00 a gallon, as it will hit that price well before gasoline.

  4. I don't think its good at all!!!

  5. Less Hummer H2s, Cadillac Escalades and stupid looking dumbass lifted pick-up trucks

    Less traffic

Fat people will have to start walking

    Less smog

    Less car accidents

    Less police pursuits

I can actaully go on and on

  6. There are no good points for gas to hit that high, all the rich idiots in the world will still be driving up and down the road all day long like they always do.

Maybe the driving will slow down a bit, but I seriously doubt it.

I only fill my car up once every two months. It takes around $40.00 to fill it up when it has about 1/8 of a tank left. I have quit driving so much, and so has everyone else I know, but gas prices are still going up. What is the deal?

I heard that there is no oil shortage, the oil companies are taking the oil they get from here in the US and driving around in the desert and dumping it.

This crazy bull c**p has to come to an end.

All it is doing is making the oil companies rich and everyone else poor.

  7. People will drive less in general, learn to spend more wisely. More people will walk, ride a bike to work - the fat ones will lose weight. People might just get fed up with oil companies and start using one of the many readily available alternatives....

Plus I'll be able to laugh at people every time I pass a gas station.

  8. People will conserve it maybe?

  9. Obesity will be a thing of the past.

Everyone will either have to ride a bike or buy less food.

    Either way, you lose weight.

  10. More people will look at riding motorcycles, scooters, bicycles, and walking.

When I left work today I had to smile at one of the bikes in the parking lot.  A small 50cc Honda scooter.  What made me smile was the fact the scooter was chained to a fence post despite the fact the lot is 30 feet from the guard shack and the other bikes in the lot were a tad bit more expensive.  I think I will be seeing more scooters in our lot this summer.

I just hope my business keeps going well when the price of gas hits $6 a gallon.  Sadly the economy will be in shambles before gas gets that high.

  11. Arson fires drop dramatically because the arsonists can't afford the gas to burn anything down.

Childhood obesity will become a thing of the past, as all of us fat parents will make our kids push our car to work.
