What is the grammar rule for mentioning a book ANSWER!!!!?

i forget what the rule is. I'm writing a paper for a summer book report and here;s basically how i started. "the book i chose to read is called The Hot Zone"

isn't there some rule where you have to underline it, or put quotes, or italicize it or something?

  1. traditionally it's been underlined for a book title. now that computers are prevalent, italics can also be used. no quotes for a title unless it's a short story.

    a book is not "called" something; it is "titled".

    if you're going to be writing a lot of papers or off to college soon, i recommend buying a copy of the MLA's (Modern Language Association) Formatting and Style Guide.
