What is the greatest NFL rivalry of all time??? Objective feedback please?

It is the Packers vs. the Bears.  The question asks for the greatest...not just the most annoying (which would be any Vikings fan).  Halas and Lombardi were both crucial to the development of the NFL as it is today.  And Halas himself was important to Green Bay keeping the Packers since he went to Green Bay and told them they had to build a stadium or they would lose their team.

    So while these teams have a deep rivalry, it is one based on history of the teams and the NFL.  Taking the great players, coaches, and histories of the two teams, it is clear that it is the greatest rivalry.

    And there is definitely no question if you ever go to the stadiums and hear what people have to say.  You should hear what they say in the Lambeau tours!!  It is love/hate...and in the end is based on the great respect of both teams for the game.

  3. The longest rivalry in the NFL and probably best of all time is the now Chicago Bears and the now Arizona Cardinals.

  11. I live in Minnesota so of course, I agree that it's the Vikings and the Packers.

    This game is about the only place that chains, knives, brass knuckles, guns and all the "foreign" objects of pro wrestling have been involved in pro football.

    It started in 1960, but Ben Davidson's cheap shot of Len Dawson in 1970 topped it all.

    Giants-Cowboys

    Cowboys-Redskins

    and others are all to lovey-dovey.

    When the Chiefs and Raiders play, murder should be legal. Attempted murder has already been done in the game.
