  1. None of those!  It's the 3 iron he hit out of the lip of the bunker at Hazeltine during the PGA Championship.  He hit it out of the lip of the fairway bunker, over the tree and stuck it on the green.  The stance he had to take to hit the shot and then hitting a 3 iron out of the lip of a bunker without the ball touching anything.  Marvelous shot.  The 6 iron at the Canadian Open was a very good shot because it was on the 18th hole and he ended up winning the tournament.  The shot I'm talking about was a much harder shot.  The 6 iron shot is probably his 3rd best shot ever.  The one he hit at the Buick Invitational in 2005 was better than that one.  He hit a 4 iron out of the rough that had to go under one branch and over the next branch in order for it to be a clean shot.  Stuck 15 feet from the hole and made birdie.

  2. his long put at the 2008 arnold palmer. he holed it from about 35 feet with a double breaker!!!!!!!!

  3. Based on what was at stake on sunday, I would say the 16th at the 2005 Masters.

But what about the 14th at Hoylake at the second round of the 2006 British Open. 212yard, 4-iron....and he holes it.

  4. It is amazing to note how many great shots he has hit that have been memorialized in so many ways...

I might want to go witht he one he did where he broke the camera during a shoot for a commercial...they asked him to hit it towards the camera, and he did...

But, in tournament play...the hole in one in Scottsdale with that big rowdy crowd and the shot that became the Nike ad at the Masters are two great shots...

I am sure that there will be many more...and as far as Tiger is concerned, they are like children...hard to pick one better than the rest.

Scott in NY - his best shot...the second on a par 4 455 yarder that was on the lip of the cup...when I was 15...

  5. dont forget that putt on the 17th? at the players

  6. 11th at 2007 Masters. He hit a hole in one

  7. When I read your question, the first shot I thought of was that 200+ yard bunker shot over water on to a tiny green at the Canadian Open in 2000.

  8. First of all, the 11th hole at Augusta is a 505 yard par four, there was no hole in one there like one answerer stated.  The ones you have listed are all great shots, but a couple of his greatest were left out.  He hit a 210 yard six iron, out of a fairway bunker, over water, to 10 feet past the pin at Muirfeld Village in the Memorial a couple years back, it was unbelivable.  And at the 1996 Phoenix Open, one of his first tournaments as a pro, he made a hole in on one on the 16th hole, with one of the best galleries in golf watching.  The whole place was electric after that one.  It was kind of his "coming out" party for the tour.

I think Bill was right about that 6 Iron, it wasnt the Memorial...but the Canadian.

  9. The best shot I reckon is the one he chipped in from the fringe for a birdie on a PAR 3 hole. He was playing with Chris de Marco then.

Upon landing on the green the ball sort of curled in from his left, gradually turning right and then down towards the hole. The ball rolled in ever so slowly & momentarily showing Nike's logo on it, before disappearing into the hole, to the thunderous roar of the crowd nearby.

I think it was at the 16th hole at the 2005 Masters. This one definitely gets my vote as being Tiger's greatest shot!
