  1. This is not a disease. What You are describing is harmless green mold. It generally grows on the north, or shade side of a tree. It probably does more good as it fights disease, as it is related to penicillin mold.

    If You really want to get rid of it, not recommended. You can try chlorine bleach diluted 1 part to 16 parts water, which is used to remove mold from roof shingles.
