What is the guy in die hard 4.0 talking about (computer technical)

in die hard 4, when mcclane and the geeky matt are in the gas hub, matt says something like '' i'm just isolating their mpi so i can boot from host'' - can anyone enlighten me as to what he is talking about?

I think its wireless network or something, thats where the 4.0 unhanced usb port comes in, used for wireless card to pick up a better signal
