  2. Most Professional golfers exercise at least 3 to 4 times per week. Some employ personal trainers to oversee there daily exercise routines. Professional golfers are adopting more of a holistic approach to golf and fitness like never before. Pilates exercises are becoming a very popular form of golf fitness. Tiger Woods and Anika Sorenstam are incorporating pilates into there routines.

    These exercises strengthen the abdominal muscles and the lower back muscles which are proving to be  a very important contributor to playing consistent golf and prevent injuries.

    In most cases, the strength and toning exercises adopted by pro golfers is aimed at all the major muscle groups, creating a well balanced overall body fitness.

  3. They use the treadmill most of the time but set to the lowest speed.

    They also work their lower legs a lot so they can  press the pedals on golf carts a lot better .

  4. They have to be able to walk a lot and swing their arms once in a while.  Oh yeah, and they have to bend down to pick up their balls on occasion.

    Far less than most sports, AFAIC.
