  1. The hardest postion is probably the setter. The setter must know everything that is going on. He must no what is going on on his teams side as well as the other side. He needs to know which hitters of his are ready and able to hit. He also doesnt want to set a hitter that already has a block on him. The setter needs to be good at setting and he needs to be focused the whole time.

  2. i playy  settr and i think it is the hardest position bcuzz the settr has 2 b the loudest person on the court. they also hav 2 hav a touch on every second ball and if not a lot of the times the hittrs r soo worried bout hitting tht they dnt try 2 help the settr out. they also hav 2 b very fast bcuzz if they rnt there us nooo wayy on earth tht they can possibly get the ball. they also sometimes are put 2 blame when the set is not placed where the hitter can blast it.

  3. I think setter would be the hardest position to play,(im outside hitter)because the second ball is always theirs, and even if its across court its their job to get to it or the play is off.

    hope i helped

  4. I think volleyball in general is a hard sport but i would have to say setter because they are constanly moving around the court and having to get to that second ball, also playing backrow setter is difficult because you have to know when to go and when to take the first pass.  Also setters have to be the loudest ones on the court.

    Hope this helped

  5. i think that libero or  setter would be the hardest positions.

the libero has to cover the whole back row and get every ball up.  they have the responsibility of getting balls that the blockers touch, they deep hard hits, and they deep serves.  also, their passes have to perfect!

the setter has to get every 2nd ball.  also, they have to run all over the court.  if the pass isn't right to them, they have to get to it.  they have to be able to set the ball so it can be hit.

  6. Center

Because you have to cover the whole middle..Whle there are two in front and two behind

  7. Middle blocker. You can practice most parts of volleyball on your own: passing, setting, hand contact for hitting, but blocking is something that you need people to practice.

Blocking is maybe the least practiced skill, and as a result there are not that many good middles. You need to actually be blocking against people to get better, you can't just pretend.

I have seen many good hitters, setters, servers, and passers, but not that many good blockers. Middle blocker is hard.

  8. I play front middle, and as a player who has played everywhere, I would definately say it's front middle.

Middle is hard because of blocker.  And you have to be quick.  And you have to jump.  And you can't hi straight, you have to hit the corners.  And you have to read where the opposite blocker is going to be so you don't hit it into her.  If you don't have adaquate blocker/hitter coverage, stuff blocks are your absolute worst enemy and unless you either have a GREAT setter or a really good back row, you don't get as many hits as an outside hitter.

  9. i Think they are all equally difficult but im sure with eough time and effort a lot of ppl could play all positions

  10. I guess it depends on your skills. I play middle front as well as one of the other answerers. But I personally think libero is a harder position to play. But I guess that's because I mostly block and hit. So yeah, it kind of depends on your skills.

  11. Personaly i think each position is equally hard. each postion has its pros and cons. you have to have a certain skill for each postion.

  12. I think each position has its own level of difficulty, but I think the setter has to work the hardest.  They are the person to touch the ball every time its on their side.  Any of the other five players can pass or hit the ball, but the setter is supposed to be the only one who has the second hit.  I think their position is hardest because they have to constantly be moving towards the pass and also know which hitters are ready to hit.  They really control the offense.  I think being a setter is a challenge, but it's also a lot of fun.

  13. The 'setter' has the hardest position trust me i've played them all!  The setter hast to get the second hit wherever it is and if it is impossible for them then they yell help. If they don't set good then you won't get good hits. And trust me it is hard to do a good set!  Setting backwards is really hard too! Sometimes they have to kneel down and set it. you have to be quick and acurate.

  14. im an outside hitter, and from looking, and asking my teammates, the setter is probably the toughest since u always have to touch the 2nd ball, and u run around trying to set the ball and stuff.

  15. I think volleyball no matter what position you are in is a hard sport but i would have to say setter because they are moving all the tinme and have to hit the second ball. setters also controll where the ball goes. another hard position is center becuase you have the middle adn it is difficult because you are all over the court also.

  16. I play libero and I would have to say  that is the hardest position. I only say that because you have to make sure your serves, passes, and your back row hits are perfect. When you're a libero you have to make sure you cover all over and get your passes to where they're suppose to be. You always have to consistent and be a good team leader and a good follower, and also always up to the challenges!

  17. The hardest position would have to be the setter. Basically they are the king/queen of the court. I'm not the setter on my team, but the girl that is, works very hard and we all rely on her to get the second pass over so we can spike it over the net.

    Good luck!

  18. It depends on what aspect you look at it from, I feel that there are two possible answers.

    1. One could argue that the middle is most demanding position to play in volleyball. This is because no matter where the set is going on the other side they are the ones responsible for blocking, they have to quickly acknowledge where the set is going and close to the outside blocker so that the hitter can't get through. This is very difficult because they first have to worry about the middle on the other side so they have to have split second reaction to figure out who they need to block. Then on the offensive side of the ball they have to come in hard for a hit whether they are going to get the ball or not to try and draw the blocker on the other side to open up a seem for the other hitters. You always have to be moving and ready to act as a middle.

    2. One could also argue that a setter is the most difficult position to play in volleyball. This is a bit more pshycological difficulty. This is becuase they are in charge out on the floor they decide what plays are going to be run, it is there job to get to the second ball and make a set so that their hitters can get a point. In addition they are the ones moving around the most especially if they are in the back row. This is because they have to play defense first and as soon as they notice they will not handle the ball they have to run up to the net, find the pass, look for their hitters and the blockers on the otherside then decide where they are going to try and put the ball. Being a setter, admittedly i might be a bit baised, but it is very mentally tough to be a setter. This is because whenever you make a good set and your hitter kills it, it is often the hitter that gets the praise for doing the hit that the setter made possible, but then if the hitter messes up somehow it is easy for them to blame the setter.

So both middle and setter are mentally and physically demanding, and those two positions would be the most difficult for a person to pick up and learn out of any of the positions.
