  1. For me the hardest thing is serving!!! it's so hard for me to get the timing right. its best to serve open handed though. if you serve with a fist, it goes off course. but i struggle SO MUCH with timing....

  2. Everyone has different opinions, but for me, it's serve recieves. I'm not a back row player, but we rotate (obvi) and I have to play back row. I'm still working on giving a PERFECT pass to the setter

  3. you always have to be exact when spiking go for every ball and prepare your self for knee problems years later this is how you strike

    1) Bumping: wrist, forearm area, for maximum power use bones of wrist

    2)Setting/Overhead pass: Fingertips, never palms

    3) Serving: Heel of the hand

    4) Spiking: Palm/Open hand

  4. IN MY OPINION THE HARDEST PART IS SETTING. THERE ARE MANY DIIFFERENT SETS YEW HAVE TO LEARN && USUALLY THE SETTERS ARE THE HARDEST WORKING PLAYERS ON THE TEAM. ((WELL THATS HOW IT IS ON OUR TEAM)) THE SETTERS USUALLY GET BLAMED FOR EVERYTHING CUZ WE ARE TAUGHT TO GO AFTER EVERY BALL SINCE WE ALWAYS GET 2ND HIT. DNT GETME WRONG TIMING A HIT IS ALWAYS HARD BUT GETTIN A SET TO GO THE PERFECT DISTANCE && HEIGHT IS PRETTY TOUGH. ONE VARSITY SETTER NAMED BRITTANY IS TERRIFIC AT HER SETS && ALMOST HAS THEM PERFECT BUT EVEN SHE MESSES UP SOMETIMES && GETS BLAMED FOR THE GAME IF THEY LOSE ALONG WIT THE OTHER SETTER MONICA. TO ME THE SETTERS ARE LIKE THE QUARTER BACK THEY MAKE THE TEAM LOOK GOOD WITHOUT GETTING THE FULL ATTENTION THEY DESERVE BUT IF THEY MESS UP THEN THEY GET BLAMED FOR THE LOSS... BUT THATS ONLY MY OPINION SO I HOPE I HELPED....

  5. the cramps after conditioning.

  6. The hardest thing?  I would have to say getting the timing right.  Even a pro can jump too early for a set, or swing too late and put the ball right square into the net.

Tell you about volleyball?  What do you want to know?  I love the game, and I have been playing it for about 25 years now (started in high school; played college, and play now in tourneys all over the country).  It is one of those games that is harder than it looks.  Too many think that they can play, and play it well, simply because they have one aspect of what makes a player good.  But it usually isn't the case.  Height is not the key.  Strength is not the key.  Speed is not the key.  What is the key is using all of those together, as well as playing with the other five players on the court.  Football is the only other sport that comes to mind where your performance is directly effected by how others on your team perform.  If your setter doesn't get you the good sets, then you will not get all the kills.

Maybe specifying what you wish to know about volleyball might get you something better.  It is a pretty general question. . .

  7. ill just send u a link cause i don't like to explain it , most ppl get confused.

  8. the hardest thing sometimes is severing.

  9. The rules.  I know that sounds stupid... but there are dozens of sets of rules for different types of games, indoor, outdoor, 2's 6's, male, female, co-ed, different states, A or open or whatever, and each year the rules change a little bit...  so when something happens everyone has an opinion on what the ruling should be... and they are probably all right, somewhere.  If you are going to play in a tournament often, get a copy of their rules...

A close second would be dealing with other players.  Some of the coolest people I know are volleyball players, but something about that game can bring out the a_hole in everyone.  Myself included.

Practice bumping and setting to yourself at least 6' above your head everyday, and it wont be long until you are valued on any team.   Hitting, and everything else just comes with timing and experience.

  10. I think the hardest part of volleyball is spiking or setting. For volleyball, you have to have it in your head that every ball is yours. That means go for every single ball. Serves are most important. I have noticed that that's how you get most of your points. Overall, it's an AWESOME sport!

  11. Watching it from the stands.  As far as playing volleyball, learning how to dive & keep the ball alive is tough to do.

  12. I would say that certain things come naturally to certain people so if u are a hitter it may be hard for u to play other positions.  All together though i would say that playing as a team is pretty difficult.....you may be a great player but if ur team doesnt work well together u can never win.  Be sure to pump everyone up! you may not be the best player but coaches will love u if they can see that u are the kind of person that picks people up when they are down  and pumps up the whole team. Be the loudest to cheer when ur not playing and always try your hardest.  when teamates see this attitude it pushes them to try their best too. hope this helps!

  13. the hardest thing is...running! just kidding but running in practice is very tiring lol, the hardest thing is serving because serving either gives u or loses u points.

  14. Mine would have to be setting! Im the worst setter on my team! But I want to get better
