SIX SMALL MEALS A DAY would be a lot healthier than either.You can lose weight by eating more if you eat properly.Starving has the opposite effect on the body it lowers the metabolism and stores all possible calories for later use,then when you think you have reached this "IDEAL WEIGHT" and start to eat properly the cycle continues and you store more.Where as if you eat 6 small meals a day about the size of your hand and include veg,protein and FAT* your body doesn't have spikes up and down it stays level throughout the day and your metabolism will rise and you will be burning calories digesting the food and your body will realise it doesn't need to store fat because you have a constant steady supply.

    *You need to eat the good fats not saturated fats or trans fatty acids avoid low fat foods because they generally contain a high amount of sucrose which once digested is stored quicker than fat.Cornflakes are a great example of something that is almost sugar once eaten and if not burnt off is stored.

    I also take around 10tblsp of extra virgin olive oil every day.

    And both are good options so you can vary the menu and dont get bored
