  1. They are usually about 3 pounds fully grown which is not good. As for height you never know.

I had a "teacup" before and i want you to know about what i went threw. I had said this before so i will just copy and paste my own words so that i don't have to type it out.

Teacup is a runt. They can get very expensive as in vet bills. I had a yorkie-poo that was the runt and i spent a lot of money on him at first. I took him cause he was sickly and i wanted to make him better and i did, but it cost me a lot in vets bills. I'm not telling you this to be rude i just want you to know what you are getting yourself into before you choose a teacup. They are cute, but they are also a lot of work. I had to get up every couple hours to feed him cause he was so tiny he had to eat like he was a new born. He ate puppy food he just had to have it fed to him every couple hours. It was a lot of work and it cost a lot of money. After about a year he became normal then i only had to go every year for his shots and check-up's unless something else happened. He was healthy after that, but it took a lot to get him there. I had one vet say to me this dog is never going to make it anyway and that is when i got my second opinion and he said i don't think that this puppy is going to make it, but we can try and he did make it. I am not going to go into the whole story cause it's a really long story i just want you to have an idea of what to expect if you do get one. Also if you do get one make sure that you find a vet that can deal with these tiny puppies cause if you don't then your just wasting your money and the dogs time. I hate to say it but some vets just don't know how to deal with these tiny dogs. Some do so just make sure that you find one that knows what he is doing. Good Luck!

I got my baby 12 years ago.

  2. There is no such thing as a teacup anything. Yorkies come in one size and a properly bred one will be between 4 and 7lbs and around 6-7 inches but the dogs are shown on weight and not size hence why its not listed in the standard.

  3. Teacups get to be 4-5 lbs. and 4-5 inches tall.

  4. They do not have a recognized weight limit as they are nothing but poorly breed runts and yes they are a "designer dog".

  5. Yes, they are unhealthy designer dogs.

There is no breed standard for a "teacup" anything because they are not a real breed.  No way to know for sure how big they will get or how sick they will get for that matter.

  6. No one really knows, as there is no such thing as a teacup pup/adult dog af ANY breed.

  7. It's really hard to answer this question since THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A TEACUP YORKIE.

    You've been dooped...

  8. hm, they don't live to be adults.

And no, they're not designer dogs.

  9. Yes, "teacup" anything are designer dogs.  People who breed for smaller and smaller dogs overlook the health problems that come with tinier and tinier dogs.  If you want a yorkshire terrier, either adopt from a rescue or shelter, or go to the national breed club website and talk to a few breeders on their breeder referral list.

  10. Hmm....

Lets see.....well....a dog becomes an adult at the age of 2. Soooo hmm....2 years old... Tea cup....Death...RIP!

There's no such thing as "teacup", "micro mini" anything! Its 2 poorly bred runts... That shouldn't of been bred to get a runt that wont live passed 2.

And don't buy a "designer" dog. NOT GOOD!!

    Check out www.stoppuppymills.org

They tell you about teacups and micro mini's!

I wouldn't buy a mix for over $100. Even then they must be dewormed... started on shots... and AT LEAST 8 weeks old. I got a pekingese japanese chin mix... For $100, shots...8/9 weeks old... and dewormed!

Don't pay thousands for a mix! Do research before you get a pup. Stay away from the people who say "teacups" and Micro mini's!

A regular yorkie full grown (adult age around 2) varies from 4 lbs up til 13 lbs.

Just look for a smaller yorkie that'll be like 5 lbs. Just don't buy them teacups! Teacups belong in cabinets and cabinets only....poor dogs shouldn't be called that!!

  11. um ussually about 5 lbs
