  1. I have a 68 degree wedge in my bag - just for fun.

Hard to play as I have to catch it clean otherwise it slices into the turf.  Ball pops almost straight in the air and drops about 25-30 yards with a full swing.

VERY EASY to blade, so be forewarned.

Follow the link to Pinemeadow golf (that's where I got mine) if you'd like to pick one up.

  2. Highest I've seen is 60 degrees, but I imagine someone made a gimmick club at some point with more loft.

I had a 60-deg lob wedge and hated it.  A full swing i could hit it from 50 yards to 100 yards - totally unpredictable since it seemed sensitive to everything i did, ball placement, stance, lie, etc.

Flops are fun though, but i manage with my 56-deg sand wedge which when opened up can easily blade the ball or put too much slice on it.

  3. highest i have seen was 62

  4. As a caddie, I've seen up to 68 before.  If you want something insanely lofted, talk to a club pro and I'm sure they would be able to bend it even further for you if that's what you want.  In my own semi-professional opinion, anything over 60 is just overkill.  You can get the ball almost straight up in the air with a 60 degree wedge so there is no real reason to get anything else.

  5. Pinemeadow i think its called makes a 68 degree wedge and they are sold at Dunhams Sports.

  6. 64 degree is the most lofted I've heard of. You could probably get something custom made, though.

  7. Ive seen a 64', and have heard of a 68'...

Why do you love flop shots? They are one of the games hardest shot to pull off...

I would only trust Phil, and he is the #2 player in the World!
