  1. Contacts don't magnify.  They correct refractive error.

Frequent replacement (disposable) soft lenses are available from +8.00 to -15.00.

Standard non disposable soft lenses are available from +20.00 to -20.00.  Rigid lenses and custom soft lenses are available in any power.

20/xx notation does not specify contact lens power.  It specifies how well a particular eye sees either with or without glasses or contacts.

  2. Up to a + or - 20.00 in soft lenses, and up to 30.00 in RGP lenses ( rigid)

    EDIT****

You want to know in the 20/20 form?...can't be done. The 20/20 measurement is the visual acuity you have, it is really nothing to do with the power of the lenses, or the prescription you need.

  3. Contact lenses can correct most any vision.  They do not magnify, however.

  4. contact lenses are not magnifying glasses  and for vision,   the contacts   lens are for vision correction   - only,   there should not be any confusion about it

  5. I can't put it into 20/100 form, sorry! But my doctor said they sometimes go up to -12.00. My mom is a -9.75 which is really bad already (everything is blurry for her, even close up) so you can imagine how far they go.
