  1. I'm no expert, but I would guess Cruise at FL300-FL400 would be about .83 mach


  2. According to Boeing, the 747-400 cruises at .85 mach, or 567 mph @ 35,000 ft altitude.

  3. I remembered being in a B747 (747-400) and it was cruising (not descending or climbing) at 1013km/h. I guess it was behind schedule or something.

    Wikipedia states that the B747 cruises at about Mach 0.85 which is approx 647mph..

    A comparable aircraft in terms of size, the A380 also has a cruise speed of that range
