    just a minute................ hold on ............

    ...................... and plus 12 ................. plus 7........

    Phew!

    AND THE GRAND TOTAL IS 120 POINTS

    Hey, who keeps points in One Pocket.  8 Balls and it's game (unless playing for money).  Must be lazy man's one pocket, I just keep track in my head.  I've never seen the stingy bead thing used in Bank pool or One-Pocket.

    snooker - seven (assuming you potted a red ball first)

    9-ball - there are no points, just win the game

    8-ball - no points per ball, but some leagues use a handicap system were each ball is 1 point

    14.1 or straight pool - 1 point

    1-pocket - 1 point

    if you are asking how many max points can be scored in a single turn at the table in each of those games the answers are different.

    snooker - 147

    14.1 - 526 (willie mosconi holds this record)

    1 pocket - you can make all 15 but the game is over at 8

    PS: after reading gumwrappers answer about snooker he is correct about that being a possibility in making all 15 reds in a single shot.   i would love to hear from a mathematician about the odds of that occurence.  wow.  i can pretty much bet that has never happened in the history of snooker

  6. Theoretically, the answer is 15 (all the reds) in snooker.

    If one is playing skittle golf, on a snooker table, each player gets strokes per shot. If you count strokes as points, then the answer, theoretically, would be the total of all penalties on a single stroke. 3 strokes for every wrong ball hit, 3 or 6 strokes for each skittle hit, and 3 strokes for every wrong ball potted. I believe the highest I have seen is 24 in a single stroke, but theoretically, this could be as high as 36 or higher.

    If you are scoring rotation pool, then 15 would apply to this game as well.

    Assuming you are asking about ONE SINGLE SHOT, these would have to be the best answers.

  9. I think you need to re write that question again and ask according to what you really need to find out.

  10. you didn,t specify in which sport,pool,snooker?

    in snooker normally you would say 7 for potting the black.

    but hypothetically you could score anything upto 15 points with one shot if you potted all the reds at once,but this is so unlikely as to be virtually impossible,but maybe you could get 8 in one shot,thus beating 7 for the black,but still unlikely to ever happen in a normal frame of snooker,trick shot maybe!
