It's not true THAT the politicians are the best paid" workers", the private sector offers  very good salaries at top levels even at middle-management levels.

Well, Slim sure does make a hefty living with his million peso income a day.

Congressmen earn 10,000 dollars a MONTH not counting in bonuses, trips or free private medical service (ergo free plastic surgery). Consider the fact that 10,000 dollars a month in a country where most people will be lucky if the earn only 400 dollars a month.

Mayor of wealthy municipios earn just as much as federal congressmen.
