  1. By seven pin S video, I assume you are referring to the special S connector output that some PC video boards have which carry extra signals in addition to the standard S signal.

    Standard S is only capable of standard definition.

    The special S connectors will usually connect to a dongle with component connectors. In that case, you can get 1080P, assuming the video board is capable of producing it.
