What is the highest resolution supported by regular composite AV cables (i.e. yellow, red, white.)?

  1. 480i. Simple and done. But its only the yellow part thats carring the video part. The red and white is stereo audio.


  2. That number will depend greatly on the output format NTSC, PAL excetera.

    Most use 480i but it can be much lower.
