  1. The holiday is called Victoire 1945.

If I was in Paris I'd definitely take a 'pont 'today.

  2. Victory Day / Armistice 1945

    - Fête de la Victoire 1945

The end of the 1939 -1945 War in Europe.

I didn't know this but used Google (paris france public holiday May 8th) Try it sometime!

  3. it is for the french the day of the "Armistice" the end of the second world war. Many companies are not working today (the seventh of May) this is why we are making the "pont" it means that we are on holiday starting from friday evening till Wenesday morning.

but I am working today I could not get my "pont"  ^^
