People are crazy about it because its a great place to generate a permanent or secondary income. The only problem is that so many people like to throw the word scam around with no facts to support whats a scam and what isn't. The truth is, you have to do your research and find an online business that is of interest to you. The large majority are legitimate however listening to the naysayers may skew your perception.

Look into affiliate marketing, which is basically what most internet marketing is all about. Companies like Wal-Mart and even Visa have affiliate marketing programs. There free to join however you have to pay for your own marketing.
