  1. The way to stop getting them is to eat a handful of raisins everyday for about three weeks.  My grandmother had 12 kids.  When one of them brought home boils to the others, they all ate raisins and the boils went away.  To cure a boil, mix powdered alum with a little water to make a paste.  Apply to boil and cover with gauze.  This will open the boil.  Keep the alum damp until all the infection is drawn out.   Then apply an antiseptic salve to the sore.  This worked on an MRSA boil my granddaughter had.  My grandmother was born in the 1860s and this still works today.

  2. Hot moist towels on the affected area. And watch out when they break..They stink , And then peroxide.

  3. Goldenseal root powder will clear them up, usually overnight. Stains yellows so a bandage is a good idea. Just dampen the area with water or oil then sprinkle with tiny amount of powder. If you can't find bulk powdered root, open a capsule.

If boils are frequent, be sure to get blood sugar checked as they are common in diabetes. Good hygiene helps prevent, using all natural soap like Dr. Bronner's castile w/ either rosemary or eucalyptus.

  4. Use a poultice of fig leaves.
