  5. The Scotch Bonnet is said to be the hottest of all!

  6. i take you mean chilli pepper if thats the case its the dorset naga its the highest on the scoville scale and is grown in england in a poly tunnel

  7. be careful, i have read in some journals about kids touching some peppers and rubbing their eyes and getting really upset,

protect your kids and pets from these things!

  8. chile habanero ( red,orange, yellow)

  9. scotch bonnets are really up there, the Scoville scale determines the hotness of a pepper. do some research on that and you will find hottest.

  10. Its either the red savina or the habanero pepper. If you're used to spicy, they really aren't all that hot. If you aren't - then only try a piece the size of a pin hole.  They are both really great for making salsas.

  11. it's that Indian ghost pepper

  12. I love the habenero...it is true that you can get burns from touching the seeds of the hotter peppers...I once had to chop up a batch of jalepenos and not knowing any better, just chopped away...with no regard to avoiding touching the seeds, I had them ALL OVER my hands...a few hours later I was calling the poison control hotline to ask them what to do...I had 2nd degree burns on my hands from those peppers! the best thing to do was soak my hands in MILK to neutralize the sting

  13. Scotch Bonnets and Habaneros are essentially the same pepper, with the SB being a particular variety of a Habanero.  It's distinguished from other Habaneros because of it's flavor, not for being the hottest variety of the pepper.

There is a variety of Habanero called the Red Savina, comes in at up to 580,000 Scoville units (SBs and Habaneros are at 100K to 350K)

The Ghost Chili mentioned in here is something I haven't heard of before, but apparently it comes in at about 1 million Scoville units (!)

I would dispute whether one can consider that edible, but that seems to be the champ.

  14. Take a look here

  15. I agree the scot bonnet is dynamite. I would use a thumb nail amount chopped up in an omelet. WOW!

  17. jalapeno peppers are the hottest once.
